Compounds and Conditions: What works?
The world of CBD is rapidly evolving, new research and studies are coming out every day, and each day we receive many questions about what compounds work for different conditions, so we thought we would utilize a common occurring graphic to showcase the many compounds found in Cannabis (Hemp and Marijuana).
For those who don't know, CBD is a compound in cannabis that has significant medical effects, but does not make people feel “high’’. The reduced psychoactivity of CBD-rich cannabis may make it an appealing treatment option for patients seeking anti-inflammatory, anti-pain, anti-anxiety, anti-psychotic, and/or anti-spasm effects.
Scientific and clinical studies underscore CBD’s potential as a treatment for a wide range of conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, alcoholism, MS, chronic pain, schizophrenia, PTSD, antibiotic- resistant infections, epilepsy, and other neurological disorders. CBD has demonstrated neuroprotective and neurogenic effects, and its anti-cancer properties are currently being investigated at several academic research centers in the United States and elsewhere.
Some of the best research is available on government and public websites like pubmed.gov and nlm.nih.gov. We encourage you to start learning what each of these compounds do for a specific condition. We will be posting soon on what Terpenes are and how they also affect specific conditions as well. Enjoy! And best wishes on your health journey!
